  2. Harmony
    Harmony is a kayak and canoe accessories company. From paddle floats, to seating and padding to spray skirts and dry bags. Harmony has a large selection of quality gear.

  3. Immersion Research
    Spray skirts, wet suits, dry suits, layering and accessories. A local Pennsylvania company.

  4. Kokatat
    Water sports gear Kokatat makes dry suits, pfd’s, layer apparel, foot wear, spray skirts and much more.

  5. Level Six
    Level Six creates high quality paddling clothing and gear, a Canadian company. I use their Superior Touring Top as well as their Ria Hybrid Jacket.

  6. NOAA Charts
    A must on multi day extended trips, or even for day trips in an unfamiliar area. This site offers ALL of them free to download for non-commercial use. All Hi-Res and ready to print.

  7. NRS
    NRS basically sells everything you would need to get out on the water, besides other brands and manufacturers goods they also sell a number of their own OEM products. A one stop shop.

  8. Palm Equipment
    A UK based company they are makers of dry suits, paddling wear, PFD’s, safety equipment, footwear and more. Not all of their wares are available here in the USA.

  9. Patagonia
    Outdoor and technical clothing. REALLY great stuff. Love the capilene.

  10. Reed
    A UK based company that manufacturers a number of paddling gear, including the “Chillcheater”, great cold weather/water apparel for kayakers.

  11. Snap Dragon
    Maker of fine spray skirts and cockpit covers. I use their Glacier Breathable spray skirt and love it.

  12. Stohlquist
    PFD manufacturer as well as accessories and paddling wear. I own their Drifter PFD as well as their Bullet Throw Bag and Tow Rope.

  13. Tuktu Paddles
    Tuktu Paddles specializes in hand crafted kayak & canoe paddles in a wide variety of styles and options. They also offer classes on how to make your own Greenland Paddle as well as wooden kayaks. Kayak skills classes are also available. A local company in New Jersey. My Greenland paddle was made by them.

  14. Werner Paddles
    Very good paddles. “The ones you see on the water.” I have owned nothing but Werner paddles since the beginning. Stick to what you love. I currently use their Carbon Camano Bent Shaft two piece paddle. LOVE IT.

  1. Arrow Kayaks
    Arrow Kayaks is a Danish kayak producer who’s goal it is to create high quality performance kayaks.

  2. Current Designs
    Located in British Columbia Current Designs makes some of the finest sea kayaks along with paddles and some accessories. I paddled the Slipstream for years.

  3. Impex
    Makers of fine composite sea kayaks from Canada. I have read good things about the Force Series.

  4. Maelströmkayak
    Canadian company who designed the Vaåg and Vitäl kayaks. These kayaks are manufactured by Boreal Design. I have heard good things from owners of these boats.

  5. Necky Kayaks
    An American company Necky manufacturers a number of kayaks including touring, sit-on-top and white water. Their Eliza has won awards for being a great kayak for females.

  6. North Shore
    A UK company established in the early eighties North Shore develops and produce innovative yet practical designs. The Atlantic is a well respected kayak.

  7. P&H Kayaks
    As “The specialists in British Custom sea kayak manufacture and design” P&H have a long pedigree for fine designs and outstanding craftsmanship. I paddle their Capella 161.

  8. Rockpool
    Rockpool Kayaks design and build innovative high performance sea kayaks using the best techniques and materials. Their TCC Alaw Bach is available in the states now through Eddyline, it is a shame the rest of the line is not as of yet although a few posts on their website have mentioned they may be available soon. Nothing but good things are said about their boats.

  9. Sea Bird Designs
    Kayak manufacturer from Norway, the maker of the beautiful Black Pearl Greenland style kayak as well as traditional kayaks.

  10. Sea Kayaking UK
    Sea Kayaking UK is owned by Nigel Dennis. Nigel completed the first ever sea kayak circumnavigation of Great Britain together with Paul Caffyn. They have contributed great ideas and designs to kayaks and manufacture some of the most respected kayaks available today.

  11. Tahe Marine
    One of the biggest kayak manufacturers in Northern Europe, Tahe Kayaks was established in 1989. They manufacture a range of kayaks including the beautiful Greenland.

  12. Tide Race
    “The Spirit of Kayaking”. Producer and supplier of high specification sea kayaks designed in Wales by Aled Williams. Very high quality and “bullet proof” is the word on these boats. Beautiful designs.

  13. Valley
    British sea kayaks since 1971. Very well respected, some of the finest and iconic designs on the market.

  14. Wilderness Systems
    “Wilderness Systems kayaks are designed to get you where you want to be, more often – on the water”. My first kayak was their now discontinued Tchaika. I still have it and my young ones paddle it on occasion.
