Very true! The iPhone is great but since they changed the whole interface for the upgrade, the battery seems to be doing more work than usual. Have you tried lowering the brightness a bit? That seems to prolong battery life a bit.

Yes, that was the iPhone I used to record the creek. I only grabbed 25 seconds worth so I do not think that impacted the battery. I have had a battery issue with the phone since the 5.01 iOS upgrade. I am hoping that 5.02 will fix the issue, it is driving me nuts!

Technology IS something most people have a hard time living without. But it is amazing how we manage to survive without it when really need to right? Good thing you brought a form of technology with you to record the water flowing from the creek. It is very relaxing. It’s always a pleasure to visit your blog posts.

There is plenty of room for three tents. We usually camp on top of the island on the Southern side. Gets more breezes and helps keep the bugs down. Also has a great view. Be sure to book well in advance as it is one of the more popular sites. Besides 77 (Halfway Island) it is the best site on Middke Lake.

Enjoyed your photos. We camp on next to you on First and Second Islands but have never visited Norway. This year we were disappointed in our island as there had been a lot of damage. Can you tell us about the tent situation on Norway? Are there enough flat spots for 2 or 3 tents? We are thinking of bringing our grandchildren next year. Thanks for any firsthand info you can share. Nice post. You were right to stray from kayaking this one time. I have only used an iTouch, but I like the simplicity, clean lines and innovativeness of Apple products.

Glad the post helped you out. It is a great place to paddle, it always amazes me that I am in New Jersey when I paddle the small rivers of the Pine Barrens. It feels like another world once you get into the woods and away from the roads. Try and get back there in about a month when the fall colors begin to show and the likelihood of seeing others on the water is dimiinshed.

Thanks for your postings about paddling on Lake Lenape and the Great Egg Harbor River. We went paddling there on Saturday and your blog helped us decide where to go. Very nice trip – just too short. We’ll definitely go back.
